Thanks for your support!

No matter where you go there you are! Its been another whirlwind week of activity. Its hard for me to believe that one week ago I was in Grand Marais. Today its Boulder Colorado and in between were stops in Minneapolis and Cedarburg, Wisconsin.
I had a great presentation on Monday at Lakeville Senior High and Lynae Anderson's science class. For those of you who might not know, Lynae is helping me implement a more dynamic Save the Poles Facebook group and Eric Larsen Polar Explorer fan page.
Then, a short drive to south eastern Wisconsin for the first ever Ice Fest Save the Poles fundraising event on Wednesday. It was a huge success. With over 100 people in attendance, we raised over $5,000 for the Save the Poles expedition and its educational and environmental goals. Attendees were treated to food, music (Michael Lee Ammons and the Water Street Hot Shots - pictured), silent auction, polar presentation and more.
Special thanks go to Grafton Ski and Cyclery, Out and Out Custard, Pati Holman, Barb Gilmore, Barb Harris, Scott and Luke Hilker, Tyler Giddings, Paul Mozina, Libby, Andy and Judy Larsen. The event couldn't have been possible with all their wonderful support.
I managed to squeeze in a short lunchtime presentation on Thursday for the Grafton-Cedarburg Rotary club. Highlights included a free lunch (for me) with the long time Rotary favorite - meatloaf!?! Still, it was fun to connect with people from the area where I grew up.
Today, I'm in Colorado. Training, camping, fundraising and more, but that's a story for my next update!
